How to play Bowling

Start Bowling by looking at the playing area and its controls. Complete ten frames and maximise the score. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Play ten frames using a two-dimensional bowling lane. Strikes, spares and bonus rolls count towards the total.

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Complete ten frames and maximise the score. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

1. Set lane position and power.
2. Roll into the rack.
3. A strike ends a normal frame; otherwise roll again.
4. The tenth can earn bonus rolls.

Controls

Lane-position/power sliders and Roll ball. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

A useful example

A strike followed by 4 and 5 scores 19; a spare followed by 7 scores 17. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

Bonus-dependent frames may not yet have a confirmed total. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
