How to play Spider Solitaire
Try Spider Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. Use the example below to understand a decision. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
Two decks, one/two/four suits; fill every column before a ten-card stock deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Notice the feedback
Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Try to explain the aim in your own words.
Step by step
- Build down by rank. Only descending same-suit groups move together. Empty columns accept any movable group.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. A new-round button replaces the current round.
A useful example
A mixed-suit descending stack cannot move as one group. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Verify the rule before continuing.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
