How to play Mini Golf

Try Mini Golf at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Use the example below to understand a decision. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Three original obstacle courses; wall bounces and friction.

Try a deliberate move

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

Step by step

  1. Aim a stopped ball.
  2. Set power and putt.
  3. Wait until it stops before another shot.
  4. Use Next hole after sinking.

Controls

Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. Use the control method described here for this activity. Avoid pressing the same control repeatedly while a move is being processed.

A useful example

A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Look for the relevant detail.

Watch out for this

The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. Compare the situation with the worked example. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
